White Sands National Park is one of my favorite places to photograph. The different shades and colors the gypsum takes on as the day progresses is as vast as the space itself. With every environmental change, it morphs your view. On this day the sun was shining and a slight breeze cut the heat just enough to make it pleasurable. I wandered in search of something compelling enough to stop my exploring. This flowing dune, almost wave like, caught my eye. In the harsh light of day, the scene wasn’t favorable for a color image.
