May 20, 2021 in Stoneham, Colorado. It’s amazing how chasing brings people together in the most random places. While rushing to get ahead of this beautiful supercell before sunset, I ran into two other storm photographers who are good friends of mine. We drove 75 mph down sketchy dirt roads to keep up with this storm. Suddenly, we saw this abandoned house and immediately pulled over. I jumped out the truck grasping my two cameras and tripods as bolts started falling everywhere silhouetted by an explosion of color.
