When a Gentleman is Bored

Commissioned and inspired by Ape #612 (a.k.a. Gentleman Bored Ape) this digital still life painting reflects not only on the character (whose eyes we look through) but also the time period we are now living in as a whole in the NFT frontier and the Digital Age, very much symbolized by the the keyboard and the screen (most of which is off-screen in the painting as we view this piece through our own screens). Although painted digitally, the style of this piece deliberately emulates a more traditional painterly style, fusing the classic with the modern, much like the Gentleman Bored Ape himself.
