Avro RJ85 Retardant Drop 1/1

Avro RJ85 Retardant Drop on the Mt Peter Ridge Fire north west of the City of Kamloops. I was on the opposite ridge from the fire and through dense smoke saw the drops being made by the Dash 8 and the Avro RJ85. The purpose here is to create lines of retardant to box the fire in and allow the ground crews to come in and work on the fire. This image was really popular on my social media. I was contacted by the pilots wife who is a wild land firefighter as well and she wanted to surprise him with a print of this photo.
