I found myself hundreds of feet below the Vietnam jungle, within the caverns of the sleeping giant that is Son Doong Cave. A place so remote, less people have been here than have summited Mount Everest.
After a couple days of trekking through rivers, scrambling over and under boulders the size of homes, and camping in this cave...I found myself entranced with a light show from heaven. As our group sat down for lunch, we looked back toward the doline (skylight) we had just traversed. Within minutes, light streamed down through the jungle above and illuminated the chamber with with a soft, warm glow. A scene that kept me behind my camera the whole duration of lunch.
