I had been laying stomach down in the creek for an hour waiting on this Green Heron to come back to it's hunting hole. As it approached I slowly advanced pulling myself over the rocks with my elbows trying to keep the lens above water. After 20 mins of advancing slowly I was finally within range. I couldn't relax because at any moment he could've seen me and it would've been for nothing. My arms were sore from holding a 500mm above water and dragging myself 50 yards but I steadied myself by leaning on the nearest rock. Click Click Click Click..... My shutter was going as fast as it could in quiet mode. I knew I had my shot but I was determined to get more so I stayed still.........
