**Faceless Portraits** is the project that I started solely as an exercise to calm my mind during the Covid-19 pandemic. I had begun to feel stress because of the sudden change in my life and the uncertainty. The mandala circle on the head represents the movement and change that is the only thing that is constant in one's life. Drawing the mandala keeps my mind focused and yet relaxed. The portrait without a face can be anyone in the world. All of us behind a mask hiding our continual change, a pool of emotions, and all the idiosyncrasies that make us unique.

**The Faceless Portraits project consists of 444 pieces. ** Each drop will be inspired by something that happens in my life each day from the news, a movie, food, or historical event, to my issues and current state of mind. Anything that affects my mood or sparks an interest. So you can see every single portrait is unique and different.

Faceless Portraits

In Thai, we have an idiom "ปิดทองหลังพระ" (Pid Thong Lang Phra) that refers to the placing of a sheet of gold leaf on a Buddha statue to pay respects at a temple. Instead of putting it on the front where everybody sees it, you put it behind where nobody sees it. Thus it means doing something good without flaunting it. 

However, if you purposely let everyone know you're putting the gold sheet on the Buddha's back, it can't be considered as "ปิดทองหลังพระ".
