Our ancient kings were unprepared for the cataclysmic end of their world. There are stories of some taken without warning, but also those who denied to see the truth and therefore would not act. So much, and so many were lost. Even so, we who now call The Westlands home are evidence that some few escaped the Great Burning.
There are some pieces of information about our ancestors that we can easily deduce. One of which is that, evidenced by our current understanding of ships in The Westlands, our people were masters of sea travel and must have lived on a great coastline.
