One of the greatest duos of all time: PRIMO & Guru, RIP. Most people aren't aware of the history of Gang Starr, prior to this duo. The group actually formed at Morehouse College with Guru and a couple of friends. That group split after one of the members got incarcerated. Guru picked up another MC and DJ, and put out the first Gang Starr singles in 1986. When that group then split, the Gang Starr as we know it today was formed.
