WINDMILLS OF LIVERMORE
Sitting in my office, I feel both privileged and thrilled when I look out of the window to the majestic views of most iconic windmills in California. The Altamont Pass Wind Resource Area in Livermore were first developed for wind power in the late 1970s, and with that the Wind energy generation on a commercial scale was born in the USA.
The 50,000-acre Area, one of the nation’s oldest wind farms, serves as a functioning museum of wind technology.
