I was riding off the high of backpacking alone for the first time when I arrived in the Canadian Rockies.
Driving hundreds of miles without seeing another soul does something to you. And all the feelings I thought I left back in Seattle were catching up to me.
I turned a corner and this view appeared. I was hit with a surge of emotion as I processed taking in another beautiful view alone and wishing I had someone to share it with. "Alone, but not lonely." I said quietly to myself. But this night felt lonely.
