Eye of Sauron

"Beauty lies, Within your eyes" These lines by Peter Stavropoulos were the first to pop up in my head while writing the description of the photograph. In frame is an eye of a house gecko belonging to the *Hemidactylus* genus. It was very difficult for me to stay at home all day long for several months during the first wave of COVID-19 in India, especially, since I was always out working in the field, volunteering and interning at different organizations. Sitting at my home all day, I didn't have any wildlife to capture, but, I soon realized that wildlife was all around us, even at our homes!
