Florida Burrowing Owl

One of the coolest species close to home, burrowing owls have taken over the city of Cape Coral, FL. Their burrows occupy sports fields, parks, and backyards. Because burrowing owls are a protected species, people have had to learn to coexist with their wide-eyed neighbors. The backdrop of this piece is a fluid acrylic painting that I created with only cyan, magenta, yellow, and white paints.
