Liquid Gold. Most have heard of it but few really know what it means. This painting tells the story of an African woman stepping into the life of motherhood. She smiles as tears of joy roll on her cheek. She feels a deep connection to her child "Nkiruka". A connection she has never felt with any other living being. As her daughter sucks the liquid gold from her tit for the very first time, her heart becomes filled with this unexplainable feeling. Some might call it love, but she can't put a name to it herself.
