This body of work; seeks to convey deep emotions, rebel against societal standards especially for black women and to reclaim the female body. The paintbrush represents the endless abilities and possibilities of a black woman in the society despite; traditional norms, criticism and misinterpretation. A black woman is more than her measurement, her sexuality and the construction of society on the roles she should play. “Her body is Her body. She’ll all all the shots.
