Things Are Looking Up

This is one of my favorite places to soak in the peaceful atmosphere and rejuvenate my soul. Sometimes you need to look at things in a different perspective to truly understand. This photo was taken on my first trip to Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park in northern California in 2009. I was on the trail early in the morning that day and was in the forest for hours, totally alone, with only the fog, trees and a melancholy bird calling out in three distinct tones.
