Lavender 009L is the ninth piece in the Lotus LSD i / LSD Drops Collection and the artist's second ever multimedia piece. The stylized animation illustrates how the motif itself (and its meaning) persists despite challenges. It is also the first piece to reference a new trend: glitch art. LSD Drops is a collection of loti based on artwork created by Nettra in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Inspired by pop art and LSD art created in the 1950s and 1960s, the artist digitally transformed her 1.5m x 1.5m (5ft x 5ft) acrylic- and charcoal-based painting to resemble one of the "stamps" in a piece of LSD art.
