This mountain and this trail holds so many memories from me. This the spot where I fell off of a mountain, resulting in the PTSD I still wrestle with today. This is the spot where I decided it was time to conquer my fears and my PTSD a year after the event by climbing this mountain again. My first backpacking trip in Washington was on this mountain, and some how both times I've been I have had the wildest conditions. Crazy clouds, crazy hail and rain, and the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. As the title suggests, this mountain is just 1.5 miles south of the Canadian border.
