BACKGROUND This token is the first-ever story of Max the Miata, a cartoon car character created by artist David Hu (@max.the.miata). “Max the Miata” began as a comic strip on Instagram, and this story was created and posted on January 9, 2017. This was also Max’s first appearance on the internet. The original comic was split into 3 posts and designated "Issue 001, 1/3", "Issue 001, 2/3", and "Issue 001, 3/3", respectively. INSPIRATION & DESIGN Max is a cartoon car character inspired by David's own first-generation Mazda Miata roadster.
