At the border of India-Pakistan lies a little village of Bogdang. A village which has been witness to numerous wars and unrest for over 7 decades. Despite having a very volatile existence, this place is among my most favourite and most visited corner of Ladakh. Reason is pretty simple. People.
Bogdang hosts some of the finest humans I have ever met. They are kind and they are real. Their hospitality, humour and ofcourse the yak tea are as warm as their hearts and smiles. Presenting one of the angels I met in the village, her beloved nickname is gulab (rose) and no points for guessing why. I have made number of revisits to her since and still happen to stay in touch with her parents.
