The Invincible Summer is a fine art portrait created by Australian artist Troy Schooneman inspired by the writings of French philosopher, author, and journalist, Albert Camus (1930-1960) - in particular the following passage, which is a message of hope for anyone experiencing the emotions of sadness or despair:
“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.
And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.”
