_Micromussa lordhowensis_ (originally _Acanthastrea lordhowensis_), a highly desirable coral which inhabits turbid waters, often completely covered in silt and mud. These corals are extensively collected for their outrageous colourations and patterns and are endemic to the Indo-Pacific.
This specimen exhibits an exceptionally rare phenomenon known as natural grafting or chimerism. This is considered to be nearly impossible in conventional wisdom, because each specimen is attempting to kill the other. Quite an anomaly!
