The Cotes-d’Armor, and the Mean Ruz lighthouse, are a favorite of mine since my first visit a decade ago and one I am always looking forward to going back to. On this particular morning, the lighthouse looked to me like a sentinel standing on the cliff edge, steadfast and irremovable.
To express this idea, looking at the clouds I decided to go for a long exposure which would allow me to freeze movement, and with it the scene in time. A little over three minutes was perfect to create the image I envisioned.
