I captured this photo in the Mt Baker Wilderness in 2018. My friends and I were spending the night at a nearby fire lookout, and we spent the afternoon exploring the area surrounding the lookout. I was standing on a rock taking in the view, when I saw this in front of me. This is called a "Brocken Spectre", a phenomena where the magnified shadow of an observer cast upon clouds opposite the Sun's direction.
Captured on Nuxwsa'7aq (Nooksack), Coast Salish and Nłeʔkepmx Tmíxʷ (Nlaka'pamux) indigenous lands.
