Hanksy was (and is) a very real and extremely serious joke operating in Manhattan from 2011 until the very recent past present. A period of dormancy has come/gone and the world-renowned and largely loved/loathed urban painter&poster has been released from the constraints of reality and uploaded into the digital world. Plugged into the matrix, a second life in Second Life. The Manhattan artist has left his physical host and become sentient, continuing to create eye rolls and lols in the digital world exclusively. Recreating and creating subversive art in the pixelated dreamscape to bring you/me/him to infinity (the moon) and subsequently beyond. Slowly opening the wordplay vault, a routine drip drip drip into the blockchain bucket, Hanksy will continue to create and explore. Adios IRL, hello URL.
