Beauty as a formula, as a programmed paradigm, Disordinary_Beauty aims at re-programming the formula presenting a new idea of beauty, the torn sense of beauty.

A celebration of imperfections, the atypical, the wretched, the outsiders, the unknowns.

In the making of this series, I have used generative glitch scripts. The algorithms were used to alter the composition of original photos taken from the Instagram of some beauty influencers. Those photos follow precise formulas, beauty is programmed to seduce the human eyes and the eyes of machines, Instagram algorithms, for better classification. The choice of using programs is motivated by wishing to re-program that formula, code, and generate a new sense of beauty praising the atypical. Beauty generates chaos, I bring chaos upon beauty, smash the golden ratio to find harmony into the defect creating haunting beauty.
