Period-45 glider gun

Period-45 glider gun is a true period 45 glider gun discovered by Matthias Merzenich on April 29, 2010. Its core is part of an agar with 90-degree rotational symmetry that produces pi-heptominoes. One of the hassling pentadecathlons extracts the output glider with its v spark, and the remaining three (in the original one-barrelled version below) suppress the pies with their domino spark. Soon after its discovery, Adam P. Goucher and Dave Greene reduced the bounding box with another pi-suppressing mechanism at the cost of higher population.
