The Big Blue

”Salt Water” showcases beautifully chaotic moments of a breaking waves frozen in time. My love of the ocean, riding waves, photography and challenging myself to step outside my comfort zone has created the capacity for me to create these pieces. This image was captured swimming around on a rare completely sunny day kilometres out to sea in an extremely remote shark infested lineup in the Southern Ocean of Australia. Watching these gigantic caverns rise dramatically out of the depths and unload their energy with beautiful ferocity, for me, was was one of the most spectacular moments I witnessed with my camera in 2020.
