Grifter (Pepe)

Based on hugely successful Crypto Artist XCOPY's sold out 'Grifters' created for Art NFT platform Async's 'Blueprints' project. My derivative is a formal reworking of a popular internet meme ‘Pepe the Frog’ which was created in 2005 by Matt Furie and originally published in a comic called Boy's Club. Since that time Pepe has become a viral sensation which has been adopted by a number of online movements, one in particular being the Crypto/NFT Art space. Pepe is often accompanied by a speech bubble with the slogan ‘Feels good, man.’ in this case I’ve modified it to fit the theme of the never-ending and increasingly obscure referential reworkings of the character as meme.
