Known as the King of Rock'n'Roll, Elvis Presley was almost as famous for his love of snack foods as he was for his music and movies. This is inspired by deep-fried-everything recipes from his personal chef Mary Jenkins Langston, as well as a TV series I loved in the 1980s called ‘Peppermint Twist.’ Set in the early 1960s, it only lasted for one season but left me with an indelible love for pastels.
