Aether was believed to fill the universe in Greek mythology. Also known as the Fifth Element, it was used in several theories to explain natural phenomena, such as the traveling of light.

This collection is a visual poetry series which attempts to combine the romantic vision of the ancient Aether (air, space, light, etc) with digital era imagery to evoque the modern day Ether, the Ethereum blockchain's cryptocurrency. 

Atmosphere I, the first piece of the series, is the master PSD file from which variants were created. Each variant then has its own sub-series. Each piece is a capture in time of the evolution of the master or a variant's composition (layers position, hierarchy, effects, etc). As a result they all look consistent yet unique.

Aether 1 C is the third piece of the Aether collection of visual poetry.  Ether, the crypto currency’s name, comes from Aether which was believed to fill the region of the universe above the terrestrial sphere in Greek mythology. Later, also known as the Fifth Element, Aether was used in several theories to explain natural phenomena, such as the traveling of light and gravity.

The collection is my attempt to transcribe the myth with modern visualization and an homage to the crypto currency.
