About - The artwork aims to pay a tribute to the endangered masked dance of Purulia. Chhau, a carrier of age-old tangible heritage and culture of Purulia is at a risk due to the ongoing pandemic. The artworks try to throw light on the idea of a mask, not as an object for protection but as an object of cultural representation. And in the process bringing attention to reviving the economic and social status of the mask-making community of Purulia (Sutradhar), India.
