Spirits

Imagine the darkest place you have experienced in your life, in which you have seen the most stars in the sky. If you are like most people, imagine a place several times darker, with a thousand times the number of stars. Only then you will have imagined The Valley of the Gods in Southern Utah. On this particular night the sky was mostly clear. A small gathering of clouds loitered on the horizon; like amorphous spirits guarding the earth below, while adoring the heavens above.
