Marlboro Point is one of my favorite places to photograph in Utah. It takes some gnarly, off-road driving to reach there, but the view and the ambiance are worth it. It is called Marlboro Point because Marlboro Cigarette commercials used to be filmed there.
While the most famous photographs of this place were taken at sunrise, I captured this majestic landscape at sunset, on a beautiful winter evening.
The rays of the setting sun embraced the dense clouds, so I used a long exposure to capture the clouds as multicolored streaks. I was particularly spellbound by the contrast of this vivid sky against the snow-kissed canyon; it felt like a beautiful daydream.
