I had travelled to Big Sur to try to photograph the Milky Way over the keyhole arch at Pfeiffer Beach, but the fog came in and there was no way to see the Milkyway there, so I hightailed it up to the best place I know to shoot with fog - the Golden Gate bridge. It took me a few tries, but on this last sunrise before the fog cleared, when the sun as a star illuminated the fog a deep orange, it was a beautiful sight to behold. I feel so fortunate to have captured it in this photo, "Star of the Golden Gate".
