Art is my communication with the world. I can spend hours exploring a single flower. 
I'm a chronic migraine sufferer and for the last 15 years I've been mostly house bound because of it. Taking photos is my meditation and my joy.
I focus in on each blossom or leaf until I find the points of distinction, where a balance between form, colour, light and detail bring a sense of calm.

I really love this photo! I'm proud all the work I show but there are some photos that I always go back to look at. It's so simple and such a common rose bought from the florist but there's something special going on. I get swept up in the romance of this flower every time.
