Harvest time is always one of the hottest periods of the year and working under the bright sun, manually cutting the stalks, is incredibly hard work. For a photographer the process is extremely photogenic and I always wander deep into the fields to get up close when I see people harvesting rice. The reception I received from this girl was phenomenal, flashing one of the brightest smiles I have ever encountered under a scorching sun.
