I drove too much, too far, not chasing well. I head back to Cheyanne, WY to rest after a bust. I decide last second east is the way to go. Cheyanne can wait. High winds push me around the highway. Howls and the thought of fear rush through my brain as I catch up to the front of the storm. I keep driving but notice a shelf cloud line up, ready to attack the landscape of Nebraska. With a sudden rush of joy, I continue. I find an exit and pull off to catch this beautiful sight. A day of sadness and what seemed like a waste of driving rewarded me with a golden hour sunset shelf with beautiful lightning flashes. A tear falls from my eye as I sit, staring at Mother Nature's beauty.
