#1138Skulls 1138 Skulls are a continuous series of skulls .A constant motif in my graffiti and canvas work. Originally I did a series called #138Skulls for a solo exhibition in New Jersey. I dedicated the show as a celebration of the life of crew mate Nace.The skulls a symbol of our friendship, and fandom of New Jersey's punk group the Misfits. After further research their song "We are 138" was a shortened number from the movie THX1138. An early movie by George Lucas about a dystopian future. Nace was tragically killed by a drunk driver at Scribble Jam in 2001.At his family's request we donated 50 percent of the show's proceeds to Mother's Against Drunk Driving.
