Rainbow Rays 9

Rainbow Rays 9 (7/6/2021, R code). This piece is part of twenty selected generative artworks released as unique iterations (numbered 1-10), in a limited collection by Kenny Vaden: “A Human in Times of Chaos.” This light composition was inspired by a crayon rainbow sketch by my four-year old daughter, which intriguingly distributed the colors in adjacent rays rather than concentric arcs. This code created four layers with increasing numbers of arcs that were drawn directly on top of each other. Each half-circle was angularly shifted randomly, then connected to corresponding pieces of the preceding radius to form arc-fragment polygon tiles.
