I love shooting from the Takapuna shoreline. The igneous rocky outcrops offer so much foreground interest throughout the low/high tides, the only other ingredient you need to hope for is awesome light, I got it this morning!
The light on this morning came and went pretty quickly, if I'd arrived 5mins later I would not have gotten the shot. The clouds were moving quickly so I had to find my composition and set-up quickly, sort out my exposure time and open the shutter. The exposure time on this shot was 229secs, not bad really.
I hope you enjoy this shot from Takapuna, Auckland.
