Emergence

Location: Turtle Head Peak, Red Rock Canyon National Park When I lived in Vegas, one of my favorite things to do was to escape the flash and noise of the city by hiking Red Rock Canyon National Park. The park has a variety of peaks to choose from with varying heights and shapes. The parks most notable feature is the unearthly red color of the rocks. It's almost as if you are walking along the surface of Mars. The highest peak in the park is Turtle Head. I snapped this shot after an exhausting hike on another peak.
