About the Photographer: Paul Foe is a passionate photographer as well as an engineer. Snowflake photography is where these two fields collide as there are equal parts art and equal parts science with capturing these beautiful crystals that fall from the sky! The process to create each of these NFTs is lengthy with prepping/freezing the equipment, waiting for the right type of snow to fall, catching the snow as it falls, setting up the proper backlighting/colors, taking a series of images, focus stacking the images, pulling out each snowflake in post-processing, and then creating the short videos showing off their beauty!

Captured Crystals

A beautiful stellar dendrite snowflake featuring a center star detail along with crowns on the ends of the branches. The little spots on the center are called rime. The beautiful color comes from a blue and tan background beneath the capture glass plate with a white 6000K light. What a beautiful crystal!
