Discovered on the planet Thades, 360 pieces of artwork known to be derived from The Timepiece of Thades. Each piece a unique 1 of 1 in its own right. Each descendant has been discovered to have it's ancestor in the previous 40 pieces, for example #1 spawned #41, #81, #121, #161, #201, #241, #281 to finally #321 in their line of descendants. 9 generations of abstract geometric minimalism works.

The pieces have had extensive color-correction work across three different monitors with three different common settings in order to try to render the correct coloration in order to give the viewer the same visual experience as I've intended. The impression is to be that the works are printed on an off-white archival paper within a book. The outlines should appear as an ambiguous indigo/almost subdued-black (differs with the larger areas – eye-brain perception anomaly).

Pieces will be released as generations of 40, starting with generation 1.

Descendants

The 'Descendants' are a series of 360 works drawn from The Timepiece of Thades work, 24 pieces that represent twenty-four hours of a visual clock from a fictional, long demised alien civilization on a planet called Thades, visited by Earth in the year 2152. Descendants are artworks found on the planet and transmitted back to Earth via quantum-state transmission. Their true meaning is lost to alien antiquity.

The original work uses 5 glyphs that are repeated in various states along with 6 different backgrounds. The first generation of the Descendants numbering 40, are the basis for creation of the following 8 generations, each numbering 40.
