Odiyan is a sorcerer/Animagus who has many supernatural abilities. He practices Odividya, a most evil form of Black magic. Odiyan can be seen as a kind of contract killer. When he is asked to kill a person, he prepares to perform the Odividya, of which an inevitable ingredient is an oil contained in the amniotic sac of a pregnant woman. This oil is used to make a special mixture which he anoints on the back of his ear, endowing himself with the shape-shifting ability.
