This collection was about returning to my roots, i've been a digital artist for many years and i have always yearned the opportunity to return to making art in the form i was trained in[drawing and painting]. I was never in a position to make or showcase my illustrative pieces because numerous hurdles came into my path. The collection of drawings is a testament  to myself to reignite the flame i had for drawing in my younger years.The pieces displayed are documented artifacts showcasing my growth and how i have transitioned to the digital artform of drawing.

In the collection you will see abstract portraiture, along with abstract expressionism all hand drawn. The experiment has been a lovely journey understanding my mental state and how it affects the outcome of the art im making. Each piece was made in Procreate with an afro-surrealist creative direction.

Time has passed and the program became familiar.. i started to document my dreams and nightmares over time. The only way to express myself was in an abstract nature. The dreams faded and the nightmares rose from beneath.
