On a whim, I set sail with my son on the east side of the Island of Oahu. I have always looked at Kapapa Island from afar, but have always wanted to set foot on its shores. The island is a nature preserve used by the Wedge-tailed Shearwater Seabirds for nesting and breeding. The rock formations of this little island were stunning. In the distance you can see the Ko'olau Mountains, and Chinaman's Hat. The clouds provided just the right scattering of the suns light. This moment captured on the 7th of July, 2021
