Collecting Hands by Monaris

"Collecting Hands" is an ongoing photo series that focuses on the details and textures of the human hand. With each set of hands, comes a unique story of one's life — our accomplishments, struggles, hard work, and sacrifices. Many of these stories can be told by the varying nuances in clothing, skin tones, and even the items the subject holds. In piecing together this collection, I'm reminded of the simple beauty of humanity within these frames. 

This series is a grounding prompt that no pair of hands share or tell the same story, yet somehow, despite our different experiences, we’re able to relate to one another on one common ground: Life.
