My Story: In the middle of my five year battle with GI cancer, I found out I was pregnant. I was so far into radiation treatment, but I also still had so far to go. My options were either to stop treatment, have the baby, but likely pass away before the child even knew me - or abort the fetus safely and continue my treatments. No doctor would continue my treatments knowing the damage it would cause to a fetus, potentially even killing it and causing me severe health complications in the process.
