In July 2001 I painted a grey abstract work, 1m x 1m and hung it above my fireplace.
On 9/11, I watched the news broadcasting the horrific scenes of the attacks on the twin towers in America.
As I watched I noticed the similarity of the image on the news and the painting hanging next to the television.
At this point the painting was not named…I had to call it Grey City.
I scanned the original in sections and digitally rejoined them, colour matched the print to the original work and produced 50 limited edition, hand embellished giclée prints, these were all sold.
The original hangs in my lounge to this day.
It seems only fitting to use the last artist proof digitally embellished as an NFT 2...
